Remember the first computer? I remember it. It was a medium-sized gray box, very unsightly, and took up a lot of desk space. Even if you had a big desk, that big box, or computer, took up all the desk space. To be honest, the desks at school weren\’t that big, but they were medium sized, so I only had about 10 cm x 10 cm space to do my homework. So I always did my homework in bed. Logically, all the handwriting for homework was in block letters, but I didn\’t mind at all.
I mainly wanted a computer. I was about 16 years old, and I was obsessed with it, you know, and I was like, “Oh my God, I can\’t believe I finally have a computer at home. I couldn\’t believe for a year that I finally had a computer at home. Believe it or not, there were a lot of kids on our street and I was the last one to get a computer. The other kids had computers a year or two before me and they were excited about them too.
I was very worried they stopped going out after that. All they did was play games on the computer. Then when games and quality computers came out, laptops, tablets, and MacBooks, people started buying them. Then all of a sudden the streets we used to play on were completely depopulated. There were hardly any kids. That was sad and disappointing. And even now, I prefer to play sports and exercise outdoors rather than sitting at home in front of the computer playing various games. Would you rather sit at home at the computer or play games outside?
